Our Program

This program will give a fresh look at how things have been done to  help the homeless youth communities as well as the transition houses for single parents starting over with nothing.

All programs start with an Interview. We want to learn who the people are, identify their needs and wants and understand their goals.

They will meet with the life coach, therapist, program coordinator, paralegal/lawyer and financial consultant in order to go over the individualized 2 or 4 year goal plan.

We have two programs

Single youth experiencing homelessness  (2 year program age 16+)  

Single parents starting over (4 year program)  

Housing

  • Free for 1-2 years, then subsidized to 50% of market rent after.

  • Shared apartment for singles (2 or 3 ppl share 2 or 3 bdrm apartment)

  • Private family apartment for families.

  •   6 month housing audits. ( property maintenance will handle)
    Yearly lease only renews if still actively participating in the program 

School/Work/Entreprene-urship assistance

As part of the life goals plan, the people in healing will either register for school in a course that will have them job ready within the 2 or 4 year time frame, Get a job within 3 months and maintain employment or start a small business within 3 months. 

Monthly life coach sessions all family members 14+

Keeps everyone on track and moving in the right direction. 

Weekly therapy sessions for all family members

  • Learning communication, healing wounds or working through own personal demons or battles.

  • Off site AA meetings or any other recovery group assistance if needed.

Financial literacy classes for all family members

Understanding credit, taxes, money and how to budget and save. Learning how to be and stay financially responsible

Legal help if needed for family court matters

Assistance in filing paperwork, advice or helping with appeals or court appearances. Domestic violence police reporting assistance

Child Care for kids 15 and under

Understanding credit, taxes, money and how to budget and save. Learning how to be and stay financially responsible

Additional Programs

  • Cooking classes for all 14+ (onsite)

  • Meditation sessions for all family members (onsite)

  • CPR course for all (onsite)

  • STEM or coding classes for kids (onsite)

  • Tutor/homework assistance for kids (onsite or local library)

  • Sport teams registration for kids (3rd party/ transportation provided)

  • Art classes for kids (onsite)

  • Transportation assistance/ bus pass

  • Community service for all (off site)

How to get involved

There are two ways to get involved with Founding on Faith. You can become a sponsor and contribute a regular donation every month that supports a family or individual participant as they work to change their lives. Another option is to give a one-time donation or set up a recurring donation at an amount that’s comfortable for you.
